About the Journal

 

The Online Journal of Nursing Workforce (OJNW) is a peer-reviewed, subscription-based journal devoted to nursing workforce research, health workforce policy, and evidence-based strategies that strengthen the nursing labor market. OJNW publishes original studies, program evaluations, and policy analyses on topics such as nurse supply and demand, recruitment and retention, workforce planning and forecasting, education and training pipelines, diversity and equity, and rural and underserved area staffing. Articles are intended for researchers, policymakers, educators, healthcare leaders, and workforce planners at local, state, national, and international levels.

Access and Subscription
Full issues and individual articles are available for purchase through the journal website. Readers may log in to access subscribed content or purchase individual articles. Abstracts are freely accessible to provide an overview of each publication.
